No, it wont, but why would you want to put some stupid big wheels on a truck anyway? You tryin to be gangsta? |

Tires matter as well. You need to measure the distance from road to the tire top. Bigger rims, with low profile tires doesn't change this distance. It can mean better cornering and handling, but a stiffer ride. (less comfort) I f you go to bigger rims, and keep the same tire profile, you're going to make the diameter bigger. This will improve your mileage at cruising speeds. But there is a loss of torque, so you could find your mileage go down during acceleration, particularly if you're hauling a load. So, if you do mostly highway driving then bigger tires will improve economy slightly. If' you're hauling loads up hills in stop and go traffic, you'll find yourself revving higher to get more torque, and your fuel economy will go down. Remember, when you change tire sizes, you need to recalibrate the spedometer. |

If the 18 " rims and tires will fit the wheels under the fenders of your truck, they probably will cause your m.p.g.s to go DOWN because you're probably thinking that they'll make you able to go faster; and you'll be pushing your engine harder to get more speed and WASTING gasoline. |
