Question: I bought a 2008 ford mustang with the 18 inch rims, i was just wondering how small of rims can i go for winter?

You should just make sure the circumference of the tire remains the same. Your 18in rims probably have 45 profile rubber on them or something like that. If you went to 17 " winter wheels with 55 profile, the over circumference of the tire would essentially be the same. Of if you went to 16 " and 65 profile, etc. Check tirerack.com they have calculators to help you with this.

17's probably, there can be brake disc clearence issues.
