Question: So if i get the 275/35r/18 inch tires on all 4 wheels...i should have more traction than the 265/35r/18s?

And what about drag racing...will having 10 extra MM of tire make that much of a difference if i have the 275/ 35r/ 18 over the 265/ 35r/ 18? |

If you are drag racing, then you do not want 18 " wheels. I drag my 300zx, and I have 18 " to drive around with, but when I go to the drag strip, I have 15 " Drag wheels. This gives you more tire thickness. Because the thinner the tire is the more rigid, and more likely to just skip on the assphalt, however, if you get thicker tires that will transfer the torque to the ground, then that is what us draggers like to call hookin' up!!!! |

Very little traction increase. About the size of your finger nail. If your drag racing, deflate the tire by 2 psi increments until you get the traction your looking for. |

Minimally, there is only a fraction of tread more than the tire you took off. |

No you wont because you are just buying a taller tire, if you wont more traction buy a tire 1 or 2 sizes wider and lower air pressure to where you have the most amount of tread touching the ground but still have enough pressure to keep the tire on the rim. if ure car is a full time dragster or has little suspension flex buy the widest tire you can buy without the tires scrubbing the fenderwells. hope this helps |

Just a tiny bit, the 275 is how wide the tire is and the 35 is how tall it is. If you want to drag race i suggest byeing tires made for it instead of ruining the ones you have, but thats only my opinion |
