Http:/ / cgi.ebay.com/ ebaymotors/ 18- Lexus- es- is- 250- 300- 330- 350- gs- ls- 400- 430- sc- wheels_W0 QQcmdZViewItem QQcategoryZ43958 QQitemZ290096983433 QQrdZ1 I think the silver wheels will go well with the silver/ grey trim on the bottom of the car. Also what is a good tire I am going to put them on a ES300? http:/ / www.carbuffs.com/ lexuses97whiteext1tn.jpg This is the color and basic look of my car. http:/ / www.carbuffs.com/ lexuses97whiteext1tn.jpg This is the color and basic look of my car. |

I donts see a problem other then that the offset of the rims will be totaly incorrect due to the fact the es300 is a front wheel drive and the is 300 is rear wheel drive also if the running diamanter of the 18inch i am gussing that your are using a 45 series tire will be diff to the 15inch using 55 series tire which will affect the speedo reading at all speeds and the breaking will also change as will the track because of the offset i would check it out with a tire place before i made the purchase |

18's aren't that bad for a car. Your ride will be stiffer due to having less sidewall for your tire. More sidewall would mean you would have more tire to buffer the impacts of the road. Less means you'll feel more. So if you want to go for looks and some performance, then go with the 18's. If comfort and economy is more your bag, then stay with the stock wheels. 18 inch tires usually are also more expensive than the 17's that the IS300 comes with stock. |

Everything seems fine till you mention lowering it. since Lexus uses so many computers to track what they car is doing, altering the height could really mess w/ the computers, sensors, etc. not to mention the speedometer, drive train, etc. and the exhaust is already low and sticking out some so to lower the car will risk major damage to that system as well. swapping tires, fine, lower profile tires to give illusion of it being lower, fine. but I would not lower the car by mechanical means or even with tires. I changed just my tire size on my work truck and it altered the speedometer by 7 mph. |
